Late Development - 3rd Reminiscence
it is early afternoon on April 5th... steady, slow, yet significant progress recently; all of Act II is in the game and Act III is underway... but recently the focus has been on RenPy stuff: fixing some interaction bugs, adding some features, and failing to get around some stupid limitations in the game engine... Act III should be easier than Act II, which was way easier than Act I, which might need some edits after all the other Acts are done... fun...
one recently cool thing is that the Options menu has undergone its second overhaul... there are some new section icons on it and the interactivity is better... the volume sliders look pretty good now, they're demarcated with values that don't actually correspond to anything other than a percentage of the bar itself, there is a way to set them to both default and recommended levels, and the sliders play a sample sound when you interact with them now so you can better hear what each level sounds like... pretty cool...

outside of that, there's been a lot of time recently that has been devoted to playing Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 instead of coding this game... but you could consider that research... or a tax write-off... it's all business expenses... anyway... starting next week there should be a lot more time to write... the two different Act IVs and four different Act Vs loom over the project like an airborne elephant mid-cannonball into the jacuzzi you thought you were relaxing in... yeah... something like that...
Here's the current progress meter:
- Act I - 100% written - 100% coded/animated - 100% assets created (some voice lines need re-recording)
- Act II - 100% written - 100% coded/animated - 100% assets created
- Act III - 48% written - 15% coded/animated - 40% assets created
- Act IV - 0% written - 0% coded/animated - 0% assets created
- Act V - 23% written - 10% coded/animated - 20% assets created
- Overall - at this point, the game is approximately 64% complete
thanks for all the patience...

thank you, I have definitely considered it!
