Late Development - 2nd Reminiscence

it is early afternoon on December 10th... there are several big announcements and updates to announce and update you on... the biggest development is the addition of a steam store page for the game... while we all surely prefer the culture here on itchio, it would be a mistake to not make an effort to release the game on the largest platform for PC gaming just because the people who use it heavily are stinky sweaty... one good thing that comes from making a steam page is that you're forced to create a bunch of assets for the store and library, so there's a ton of new banner, header, and cover images for the game... the game description on the itchio page has been updated to match the steam page...
along with the steam announcement is the release of two videos that showcase the look and feel of the actual game... you can view both the Announcement Trailer and the Opening Cinematic over on the quite adept YouTube channel, so check those out if you haven't, they're very important...
as far as recent progress on the game itself, pretty much all of Act I has been coded and tested... the only things that might change is that some of the transitions might need tweaking and a few of the non-professionally voice acted characters need their lines redone... the minor characters are voiced by friends who did a decent job, but the quality of the recordings is too jarring when compared to the professional sound of the main character VAs... but since Act I is almost fully playable, coding and animating Act II is well underway... let's frickin' go!!!
it is so strange to have multiple hours of content completed, who knew that was even possible... there is some worry that the game is getting too long, but hopefully it is not too wordy and slow... but even if it is a little slow, who doesn't like a slow burn??? well, probably not many people these days since our attention spans have been fried by social media... but maybe it'll feel like a nice change of pace... all that can be said for certain is the narrative is solid and full of detail without any boring filler... it's good, trust...
Here's where we're at right now:
- Act I - 100% written - 100% coded/animated - 100% assets created (some voice lines need re-recording)
- Act II - 100% written - 45% coded/animated - 70% assets created
- Act III - 37% written - 0% coded/animated - 40% assets created
- Act IV - 0% written - 0% coded/animated - 0% assets created
- Act V - 11% written - 10% coded/animated - 0% assets created
- Overall - at this point, the game is approximately 59% complete
thanks for all the support...
